Osaka Expo 2025 (1)

This is a photo of our electrical stuff in our hotel — a far cry from what we had in Morocco. Plenty of USB ports and lighting!!

It was a whole new world. We left the caring arms of Rumi, our Japan Tour Guide, and were ON OUR OWN!

WOW! I was feeling like a wimp not hauling my two suitcses from hotel to train station to the next city and train station to the hotel. But after getting picked up on time and escorted directly to the hotel in another town, I WAS RIGHT!!

What luxury!! Woo-hoo!

This was a touchstone that would lead us back to our Quintessa Hotel for the next 4 nights.

Took a discovery trip to see what was around and found a mall with a delicious little lunch!

We were on our own for meals.

Before Joy woke up, I’d sit on my HEATED TOILET SEAT and write in my travel journal while drinking the coffee I had made for myself the night before.

We paid 2,400 yen ($17 USD) for our breakfast, but it was wonderful. I LOVE a plate with 9 different areas, since I take a little of evertthing! And the heart-shaped plate!

Umbrella dryer. Precious.

A mass of people in the train station and at the Osaka Expo 2025.

We are here! This is the Grand Circle — which encircles the entire Expo.

we spent an hour getting a map (wait in line) and buying our passport book (wait in line).

The entire Expo should have been renamed WAIT IN LINE!!

This was the UAE — United Arab Emerites. Not that impressive.

We went into the Canada exhibit where giant white things that looked like icebergs were. But we were given these hand-held video screens and like a miracle, stuff showed up on the screen. It was really cool.

The last 2 phots compare the AI and what was really there.

I took a pic since I really had no idea what Canada looked like. Look and learn!

This was the USA and they are proud of their space program. No mention of how they plan on helping to stop Global Warming though.

It WAS cool to see our home country, while we were in Japan.

This was France.

We were exhausted and hungry and waited 45 minutes to eat in the France exhibit. We spent $63 USD for some bread and butter, French onion soup and 5 little cheeses on a plate. My wine was $18. But it was a wonderful respite from the expo. I laughed when they poured maybe 3.5 ounces of wine for Joy. ridiculous.

The great thing was that after going to France’s private bathroom, we took the elevator down a flight and walked right into the exhibit without waiting the 45 minutes to and hour! Woo-hoo!

This was great.

China was great too.

They are proud of their pandas.

Joy found a hammer to hit these things to make music on, in some Caribbean Island.

I think this was Trinidad and Tobago — Tom’s mother’s home island. The woman with the vase on her head was 3D and so interesting.

Had do idea Mother Theresa was from North Macedonia!! Tom and I are heading there in September!

I bought a styrofoam Cup-O-Noodles with seafood from the gift shop at the hotel, added bottled water, and cooked it in their microwave, along with a large ice cream sandwich for dinner. My lunch was $73 and my dinner was $3.50. Bizarre!
