A lot of driving; a lot of cars to get to this dam.

There were some beautiful views.

We took a small boat down the river among the huge walls of rock to the deepest cave in the world. We didn’t go down very far but it was interesting.

This was the deepest cave in the world however we went down only maybe 30 steps to find the view. The boat ride was nice and we saw the beautiful mountain sides with the pathway that I would have liked to walk.

Click. This was supposed to be a big deal where the water was coming out from The Cave. I didn’t understand its importance.

The next morning we went back to the downtown city of Skopje because the Mother Teresa house was not open yesterday.

I’m getting a little picky about our rooms. The two glass doors of the shower that were supposed to slide together were missing, the tape around the vents when they painted the wall is still there, and the toilet paper holder was just a crummy shaky towel bar way up over the toilet. I am getting fussy.

And another dinner of Macedonian wine.

Miracles of miracles, we are walking through the Skopje downtown in North Macedonia and this blonde yells “Tom!” I look at her and think I don’t know any young blondes, when she says I’m Ina from Bolivia. Now I remember her. She was on our Bolivian tour. She lives in Germany and works for the VW plant. She said she reads my blogs all of the time. She was traveling with a German group.

She put our photo on the WhatsApp thread that we all had in Bolivia and we heard from another five people that were on our Bolivia tour including the tour guide. It was a wonderful blast from the past. I was so glad to see many people are still traveling! Ina said they would be leaving for the town of Ohrid tomorrow.

Flori said of course we would see her in the next town we were going to because Ohrid was a tiny town. Tom and I continually watched for her getting off tour buses, etc., and we never did see her again. I quit believing in flori!
