That’s right. In the middle of our Trek through the Gobi Desert one of our vehicles had a flat tire. Luckily they knew what to do and it only took us 10 minutes.

I never did get to see the beautiful stars in the Gobi desert but at least I saw the moon.
This time instead of a propeller plane it was a jet. Miat probably stands for Mongolia International Air transport. Another plane company I had never used before.
You got to grab those tourist dollars with the discussion of dinosaurs at the airport, since there’s not much else to look at in the Gobi desert.

Sean, a physician on our group, constantly needed Wi-Fi. He was on his computer all the time. He found this information, current for the day, about foot and mouth disease and insisted I send it to the group. It caused a little consternation but we realized it wasn’t in any of the countries of Mongolia that we were visiting.
