Here are the Seven Sisters mountains. A man troll gathered up eight women trolls and chose one to marry and she ran from him. He said if he couldn’t have her nobody could and he picked up his bow and arrow and aimed it at her but missed. The sun came up and as The Story Goes if sunlight hits a troll, the troll turns to Stone and thus there were seven mountains and then the eighth one set away from the seven because she ran.

So cool! Jane took this photo and then used Magic Eraser to erase the man. cool, Huh?

In the elevator from deck 5 to deck 2 to get a quick sauna before bed. The ship didn’t have massages but my saunas are great too.

No green anywhere!

We toured a Hurtigruten ship that was taken out of service in 1956. We searched every corner of it and it was really a blast.

This was the group we acquired on this tour. So fun!

Ship stuff.

Mid-afternoon!

Everyone left me to go look at a fiord in the middle of the night while we played cards. This is what they saw. I was pretty much over running out in the cold to see anything by this time.

A war museum collected by some Norwegian guy. Very interesting.

These racks are what they put the fish on when they catch them on Lofoten Island. They called them stockfish and clip fish but they are both a kind of cod — it depends on how they dry them. You could smell the dead fish as soon as you got off the ship and it was December! And you imagine what it smells like when the fish are actually hanging on the racks in the summer!?

I brought magnetic clips to hang our stuff because I know cruise ships have metal walls. They worked pretty well. I could have used more. Yhey were heavy duty magnets that were supposed to hold 60 pounds, but my purse needed 4 of them.

Artsy picture taken by Joy. Her room portal — and it was like 5 feet deep.
