We saw a fabulous gingerbread community all made by children.

The first house was made with pretzel sticks. Cool.

We visited a Christmas Market and spent money on garlic presses and expensive chocolates.

Jane and I went to the troll Museum and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly for a couple hours.

I love camera filters.

Everything looks like trolls in Norway.

Many trolls have only one eye. And they may share it among themselves.

This room was terrifying.

There was no rain the day before but on this early morning it was pouring rain and very windy. The door opened at the airport and my gloves flew out and fell into a puddle of water. I never got a decent exclamation of why there’s a ? after the Bergen sign, other than to get tourists to wonder why.

Donna at the Bergen Airport where we said our goodbyes to her. She was flying into Minnesota into a huge snowstorm and the following week was going to be negative 10°. No thank you!
Already fond memories.

crazy trolls!

We were looking forward to three plane rides and a long day home. It turned out everything was on time and there were no snafus and we were grateful.
The time difference was only 6 hours and because I flew during the day I didn’t really have any jet lag. Woo hoo!

I got carried away with the cups. The first one was the Moose Norway cup and then I decided the second cup was to commemorate the Arctic Circle (which really isn’t a country) and then I paid 12 bucks for three tablespoons of some Norwegian drink up on Deck 7 and we were able to keep the Tin Cup. Cute picture of a troll I guess.
The garlic grater.
This trip was Joy’s choice. At the beginning of the trip I told her I was withholding my judgment for either slapping her or thanking her. There were a couple times I thought about slapping her; however in the airport coming home I thanked her profusely for a fantastic trip.
My passport is with the US government right now and I don’t trust them farther than I can throw them. So I am crossing my fingers I will get it by the end of January.
I specifically booked nothing for the first 3 months of the year in the event that they take took longer to get my passport processed.
Passport was issued May 2023 and normally last 10 years. However I filled up all the pages and had to get another one by the end of 2025. Sheesh.
Indonesia is on my radar for the end of March. Safe travels to all of you!
Happy Holidays!!
JUST TODAY MY PASSPORT ARRIVED!!! AND IT HAS 50 PAGES!! IT SHOULD LAST ME UNTIL I AM TOO OLD TO TRAVEL!! YAY, ME!!
